This team does not lie down and roll over for anyone!!!

Score is tied, 3-3, top of the 8th. Scotty was pitching tonight, and he lasted through the 6th. He gave up 3 runs in the 4th. Kirk Reuter was pitching for the Giants, and he was gone at the top of the 7th. The O's have scored on two, count them, TWO!!! homeruns from Marty Cordova off Kirk Reuter, one in the 4th, and one in the 6th. The first run was scored by the O's in the 1st, when Mighty Mel doubled, and he moved to 3rd on a single from Gary Matthews Jr., then he came home on a sac fly from Tony Batista.
So far, Barry Bonds has been walked 3 times, and he singled once.

Bordy's on a 2 for 3 roll. :lust: He's singled, and he hit a big ol' fat double in the top of the 7th. :clap1: :luvkiss:

So, here we are, top of the 8th, and after Gary Matthews Jr. went down looking, Tony B walked, then Marvelous Marty Cordova went down swinging and Jose Leon, playing 1st for 9er, grounded into a fielder's choice, Tony B out at 2nd.

Now we're in the bottom of the 8th. Rick Bauer pitching for the O's.

GO RICK!!!!! GO O'S!!!! :jump: :jump2:

Yuck. Nuts. :barf:

Rick Bauer gave up a homerun to David Bell in the bottom of the 8th, so now it's 4-3, Giants. Poop.

But at least no one was on base.

A 1-run game. The O's can win this. They can do it.

Batters coming up in the Top of the 9th:

Brook 4dyce

Bordy :lust:

And whoever Grover puts in to bat for Bauer.

GO O'S!!! :jump:

Allrighty. Robb Nen now pitching for the Giants. Grover puts in Brian Roberts for 4dyce..... and he flies out.

Here's BORDY!!! :lust:

COME ON, SWEET CHEEKS!!!!! HIT ANOTHER DOUBLE!!!

Oh, great. Grover. Grover, Grover, Grover. You take out a guy who's batting 2 for 3 tonight, and put in Chris Singleton. Uh-huh. And Chris Singleton goes down swinging.

:hmm:

Nice.

2 outs.

Here's Gibby, who's batting for Rick Bauer, and he's .254 against right-handed pitchers.

Oh. Uh-huh. He struck out swinging.

Crap. Game over.

:pissed:

Whoa... I'm back! Had to be a camp counselor last week, they just told me like 2 days before I had to go there, very last minute. But I had a good time.

Glad to see the O's haven't completely unraveled!

HEY!!!!!! :wavey: Welcome back, MM!!!!

Glad you had a good time! :jump:

Well, the O's didn't completely unravel. These have been pretty close games and it's been tight right up until a mistake in a pitch, or a strange :hmm: managing decision. They certainly have held their own against these teams.

Today's game should be interesting. Travis Driskill's pitching, I believe.
