O's Win the Series!

Well, we did it! We won this series, with one of the best teams in the National League. And we did it with timely hitting, fantastic starting pitching and a good bullpen.
Thumbs up for today go out to Jason Johnson, Gary Matthews Jr., and Jorge Julio. But especially JJ! I think he is back, for good!

It sounds like JJ pitched a fantastic game. I saw a couple of mighty fine fouls catches by Jay Gibbons on ESPN, over-the-railing type catches!!!! Man, the guy hustled!!! :biggrin:

I love that the pitchers actually pitched to Bonds, and got him to fly out, and ground out. The AP wire report said that Bonds would have had a triple on that one that went to the wall, but he stopped to admire it at the plate, thinking it was a homerun. :hmm:

So, the O's took 2 series out of 3 on this roadtrip.

Wow, I think we have a winning record in interleague play so far this year... 8-7! That is something that we can really be proud of, considering the teams we played. After we sweep the Yankees this week, we'll be at .500!!! :biggrin:
