i'm sorry.. but this is bullshit. There is no way in the world that Brian Giles is not an All-Star.

Kim?? are you kidding me?? Yes, he has put together a nice season so far, but it has not been all-star caliiber...

Brenley is a ****ing idiot.

i think Konerko should be the starter!! and what about Michael Barret? I thought he whouldve made the team at least...

Don't get me started. Don't bother.

Where's that smiley that's ranting and has %*^$ coming out of his mouth? That explains it best.

Go to mlb.com and vote for the 30th man.
voting started at 8 pm est.
Giles and chavez are leading

And that's how it will be on July 2!!

In the AL i find funny that there r no BACK UP 2nd basemen! Oh well, Soriano is the best 2nd baseman in BaseBall right now so just hope he dont get hurt!

theyll probably have one of the shortstops play 2B for a few innings. That was pretty stupid not to take an extra 2B and take 5 SS

Fullabull
06-30-2002, 09:41 PM
The plan is to have Jeter come in as a 2nd baseman cuz there are 4 SS that are deserving.

bd811
06-30-2002, 09:43 PM
they were askin him about that and he said he doesnt like playin 2B. somethin like hed rather play any other position

imgreat95

the thinking in the AL is that the shortstops are all good enough that they should be able to play 2nd base.

I think a month ago I would say Barrett should have gone but he has slumped horribly the last month or so ans his average is down to .283 and he doesnt have the power....
I am very disappointed that both Santiago and Miller made it over Lo Duca who i think is more deserving ....Santiago's OBP% is HORRIBLE!!!

I was kinda disappointed that Pedro Astacio did not make the team as he has a sub 3.00 ERA....

I definitely agree and am happy my guy Konerko made it but you cant go wrong with him or Giambi as the starter....

I think that Eric Chavez should have gotten the nod over Ventura and Batista but especially Ventura....

As for Giles, I do agree he should be in but he should be in for Gonzo as Dunn is just as deserving as Giles IMO...

Those are just some initial reactions to the picks...

Tejada, Jeter, & Omar otherwise might not make the team.
I think they are worthy.

I'm not happy that there will be 7 Skankes at the game. kim should not be there. Kenarko wasen't even on the ballot and if I can't see the guys name or spell it for that manner then I'm not voteing for him even though he deserves to be a starter just one of those over looked and in some points underrated same for Giles.:hmm:

and thats the problem! people dont go to the trouble to write a name down, so he doesnt get more votes that he deserves! Thomas hasnt been the sox 1st baseman since att least 1999. THATS 3 YEARS! theres no reason he should be on the ballot anyway!

I can't believe that Thome is not there either...

i heard Robin Ventura might play 2B if needed. i certainly don't want Sori playing too long (the yanks would be pretty screwed if he gets injured :nope: )!

yea well they wouldnt be off too good if Ventura injured himself ...

yeah but Robin won't be playing 9 innings. it's a possibility Sori will, and Sori has been the Yanks' MVP for the first half of the season.

Agreed, I'm happy he made it as well...The 2 times I filled out a ballot I did a write in for him:biggrin: Well deserved!!

I also have him on my fantasy teams....Ask Josh, he knows I'm a big Konerko fan;)

Well um there ARE 6 Diamondbacks going so Joe Torre should be able to bring a couple also...

Lets see here 3 Yankees decided by votes 3 D'backs decided by votes....

The same thing happens every year. No matter who gets chosen, there will always be players that are snubbed (e.g. Johnny Damon  ), and there will always be people that are pissed about it. Personally, I look at who gets chosen and just shrug.

I just voted for the 30th man and still there is no Konarko on the AL side and from the ballot over all stinks the Nl side has a couple of guys that shouldn't be in there same for the AL side. Right now I'm stuffing the box with Tome and Giles

Baseball Guru

Vin, Konerko made the team already as a reserve so he is not listed as being available as the 30th man....
