Well, I told you guys that Bobby got fireworks. Well, don't you know the cops showed up lastnight!!!:uhoh:
My niece, Cori, is reffering to him as the "Vampire Cop" cuz this guy showed up outta no where! Didn't even drive his car up to the house. I thought I saw a flashlight and everybody told me I was just paraniod, then about 5 minutes later here comes the Vampire Cop outta the dark, um With His Flahslight. Walking right down to Bobby and Dan saying "Ontario County Sheriff, how many more of those do you have?" and Bobby and Dan said "6" (they didn't tell him about the grand Finale ones) and he said "
Well that's six you wont be setting off cuz if you do, I'll come back and arrest both of you. These are Class C fireworks and your not even supposed to have them". Then he slipped away back into the night. Cori and I tried to see where he parked cuz as I said, there were no headlights or a car around, and he walked about two streets over. He said somebody complained but we think he was just driving by and saw them. I gotta say, they were really awesome fireworks, not the little ones you can get but the kind you see at firework shows. So know we have 6 big fireworks left and the grand finale and were trying to figure out where we can go to set them off without getting into trouble. Bobby really thought he would confinscate them but he didn't.
So that was our 4th of July. How was yours??

I'm surprised the cop did not confiscate them. Usually they take all your fireworks, then all the cops split them up amongst themselves at the station. They legalized some fireworks here in CT. Just the ones that make pretty colors. The "explosive" ones are still illegal. I like the explosive ones. I like to blow stuff up. BOOM! BOOM!!!! YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! When I was a kid, there was a nice lady in the neighborhood that sold fireworks to all the kids (I'm not kidding). My friends and I would buy lots of firecrackers and M-80's and blow up our toys. Ahhh, the joys of growing up in low-income housing. :)
My 4th was nice. The wife and I went to Vermont and had a nice 15 mile mountain bike ride with her cousins. :)

Wow. You guys sound like you had varying degrees of fun!!! ( Well, hiding from the cops can be fun!!! ) That vampire cop was probably just cranky because he had to work on a holiday!
A 15-mile bike ride in Vermont sounds really tempting right now. I'm getting a new bike this weekend!
As for me.... let's see.... how did I spend my 4th.... I put my air conditioner in the window, which was a good move, because it was so horrible yesterday. Then I went running. It was 9 AM, but it was still sweltering, humid, yucky, so it wasn't a very good run. (This morning's was waaaaaay better). Then I fed a friend's cat, then I went to see The Bourne Identity, and I loved it, actually. Then I spent the evening watching baseball. Whatta surprise!
So, that was my 4th.
TaDa!!! :clap1:

Whoa, Kellye.....you guys had a ball! I'm really surprised that the cop didn't take away the fireworks! We went to the beach yesterday to stay all day long then walked back to my mom in law's house for pizza and came back to the beach for the firework which were great.
BTW, Kellye, does that vampire cop look alike Andy Pettitte? ;)

My 4th was extremely long. I had worked midnight shift the night of the 3rd... got off work at 8am, and went and golfed 9 holes.. Then, I left for PNC Park around noon. We drank lots of beer... watched the PIrates lose.. drank some more beer.... Went and watched the fireworks... got a ride home with our DD, then drank some more beer with Nicole. FINALLY came home around 4am.. and just now woke up. Now, I have to go to work again soon.

Glad everyone had a great and restful 4th!!!
We went on a boat ride out to Jones Beach to see the Fire works, which were great, The best part of the night was when they played " Proud to be an American" and you could hear everyone on the boat singing along!! even the people in the boats around us could be heard singing!!! very patriotic!!!!

ill tell you all about my fourth of july. i went to a fireworks show out here they have for our town every year. it was nice except they didnt hook the sound equipment up and they had to run about hooking in cords and stuff. and one of the fireworks blew up in the tube on the ground which i was sitting relatively close to they had to get firetrucks to put it out :). then me and my friend got some sweet indian fireworks bottle rockets little missle ones that scream and stuff. We burrowed this old guy we knows dune buggy and we went out into the desert to shoot em off and we shot them at each other not to smart i know but good clean fun. so its around midnight and besides a burning piece of firecracker getting me in the head i was all good. so we go to start the dune buggy up and it was dead. the battery was toast. so i have work the next day and my friend has a hour drive home and we're stuck. so we tried push starting it to no avail. so we had to call someone to tow us out and i didnt get home till 2:30 am and had to wake up at 4 and go to work for 10 1/2 hours. god bless america weeeeeee:biggrinpa
