this one wasn't like the Mondesi trade where we gave up a AA prospect. the Yanks gave up a lot for him. Lilly is gonna be a hell of a pitcher if he pans out :ohno:. i hope he does well in Oakland :pout:

The Yankees gave up Lilly. The top prospects don't mean much when you have an organization that signs whatever holes they need anyway. :hmm:

The Yankees did give up good prospects, but it's not like the Yankees NEEDED those prospects.

lol, i didn't know that either. but Weaver doesn't have a big salary (3 mil a year or something) and he's locked up for a while so if they do have a "budget" that they don't want to go over he'd likely fit into it.

what a bunch of garbage i hope soon baseball at least attempts to fix its problems if its not to late. now whenever a team cant afford a player they just send em to the yanks?
