ANNETTE FUNICELLO
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/an...funicello.html BIRTH DATE: October 22, 1942, Utica, New York CLAIM TO FAME: Annette got her start as a Mouskateer in the Mickey Mouse Club. She quickly grew to be one of the most popular. I'd have to say to this day she might be the most popular Mouskateer ever. It's interesting to not that she was the last one chosen to be a Mouskateer. She was the 24th chosen of the 24 kids. She then moved on to be a teen idol, starring with Frankie Avalon in the Beach movies. In fact her and Frankie starred in 8 movies together. I sure loved those and still will watch them whenever they are on. FAMILY LIFE: Glen Holt - May 1986 - present Jack Gilardi - January 1965 - 1981) (divorced) 3 children INFO: Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1987. In 1999, she underwent brain surgery to slow down the tremors which result from her MS. She started the Annette Funicello Fund for Neurological Disorders. http://www.calfund.org/8/giving_funicello.php TRIVIA: Her son, Jason Gilardi, is the drummer for the rock band, "Caroline's Spine", who were once signed to the Disney owned label, Hollywood Records. When she made the various beach pictures for American International Pictures (AIP), she was still technically under contract to Disney, doing the AIP films on a loan-out basis, something of which Walt Disney always emphatically reminded her. To that end, Walt Disney asked her to not wear a bikini and instead wear a one-piece swimsuit because she had an image to uphold. She agreed. Her favorite TV series was Zorro. For her birthday one year, Walt Disney (who knew she was a fan of the show) arranged to have her guest star on one episode. She always called Walt Disney "Mr. Disney". She told in a 1975 interview about the price of fame. She had to really stay close to home because wherever she went with her parents, if it were the store or church, people would begin to sing the Mickey Mouse Club song of "M-i-C-K-E-Y" and it bothered her at the time. Then years after when she would go to get her daughter at school all her daughter's little friends would sing the song "M-I-C-K-E-Y" and it made her feel good. WHERE IS SHE NOW: Annette's condition has deteriorated due to MS and her life is now filled with constant struggle. Even breathing can be difficult. She doesn't get out much anymore. Her last public appearance that I can find was back in 1999. She has a collectable bear business. Frankie Avalon says that everywhere he goes people ask him about Annette. BARBARA EDEN
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/barbara_eden.html BIRTH DATE: August 23, 1934, Tucson, Arizona BIRTH NAME: Barbara Jean Moorhead CLAIM TO FAME: Who doesn't know Barbara as Jeanie from 'I Dream of Jeanie'? This was the role that got her known to all of us. FAMILY LIFE: Jon Eicholtz - January 1991 - present Charles Donald Fegert - September 1977 - 1983 (divorced) Michael Ansara - January 1958 - May 1974 (divorced) INFO: In the mid-1950s, Twentieth Century Fox signed Eden to a studio contract, and she appeared in a string of movies opposite such heartthrobs as Elvis Presley and Paul Newman. In 1957, Eden was cast in the TV adaptation of "How to Marry a Millionaire"; she played the part Marilyn Monroe had in the movie version. The actress' biggest break came in 1964, when her agent sent her the script for "I Dream of Jeannie" and she was offered the lead role of the wacky, wonderful genie. That same year, she and her then-husband, actor Michael Ansara, were expecting a child, and in August 1965, Matthew was born. In 1970 her show was cancelled, and she endured yet another disappointment when she learned that her second baby had died in her womb at seven-and-a-half months. Barbara's marriage dissolved under the strain of that trauma. Soon afterward she married her second husband, a newspaper executive from Chicago, but they eventually divorced. Things began looking up for Barbara again in the '80s, when she worked steadily on a variety of television projects and met her current husband, real estate developer Jon Eicholtz. Barbara's relentless work ethic is what has sustained her during her rough times, including the roughest of them all: the death of her son in 2001 from a heroin overdose. TRIVIA: She was not allowed to show her belly button on "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965) because of NBC's "No Navel Edict". Crowned: "Miss San Francisco" in 1951 Although she was born Barbara Jean Moorhead, she took her stepfather's last name of Huffman when her mother Alice remarried. Also played Jeannie's sister in "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965). Shortly after shooting began on the pilot episode for "I Dream of Jeannie" (1965), it was learned that she was pregnant. Director Gene Nelson invented a shot he playfully called the "ATB". ("Above the Baby") "Sometimes", he stated, "We'd have to follow Jeannie's arm across the room". Barbara's last name was changed from "Huffman" to "Eden" by her first agent. In 1997, Columbia announced plans to produce a big-screen version of "I Dream of Jeannie," but the movie has yet to be made. There has been talk that Paris Hilton will take the role. Just this year, Paris played Barbara in an episode of 'American Dreams.' WHERE IS SHE NOW: Touring the country in a female edition of the Neil Simon play 'The Odd Couple' She also turned up in a spoof production of "Desperate Housewives." In the sketch Barbara plays the role of Nicollette Sheridan's Edie. And in the past few years she has been on several episodes of 'Sabrina The Teenage Witch.' LINDA Carroll HAMILTON
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/linda_hamilton.html BIRTH DATE: September 26, 1956, Salisbury, Maryland CLAIM TO FAME: Linda's biggest break was in 1984, when she got picked to play the part of Sarah Connor in James Cameron's blockbuster 'Terminator.' FAMILY LIFE: James Cameron (997 - 1999) (divorced) 1 daughter Bruce Abbott (1982 - 1989) (divorced) 1 son Peter Horton (1979 - 1980) (divorced) Daughter, with James Cameron, Josephine Archer Cameron born February 1993. Son, with Bruce Abbot, Dalton Abbott born October 1989. Unfortunately Linda suffered two miscarriages while with James Cameron before they had a daughter in 1993. INFO: Linda started acting at a very young age. She never thought she would make a career out of it and instead wanted to be an archaeologist. However, once she started working in children's theater she realized she loved acting. TRIVIA: Linda is an LA Dodgers fan. Linda went to Wicomico Junior High, Salisbury, Maryland, with her identical twin sister, Leslie Hamilton Gearren, who incidentally was Linda's double in 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day.' Leslie is seen when Sarah is remembering playing with John at the park and when the T-1000 is impersonating her. If you've been to Universal Studios then you've probably seen Linda because she reprised her 'Terminator' character, Sarah Connor, for the theme park attraction T2-3D, a short film filmed in a new 3-D process that makes the film really appear to jump out at you. While attending Washington College, the acting professor told her she had no hope of earning a living as an actress. After her role in Terminator 2, she learned that she made such an impression as the pumped and ferociously tough Sarah Conner that she was typecast into being offered only roles for similarly tough characters. Turned down a chance to reprise the role of Sarah Connor in 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.' She divorced 3rd husband James Cameron after discovering he was having an affair with actress Suzy Amis during the making of the movie 'Titanic.' Her divorce from him was the second most expensive divorce next to Steven Spielberg's divorce from Amy Irving. She stood to take half of his earnings - close to $50 million dollars. In September 2004, she revealed she has long suffered from bipolar disorder and was a compulsive eater as a child. Auditioned for the role of Capt. Kathryn Janeway on 'Star Trek: Voyager.' WHERE IS SHE NOW: Currently she lives with her two children in Malibu. Most recently she starred in a few movies still to come out this year (see credits). In fact the film 'Missing in America' reunites her with her 'Beauty & The Beast co-star Ron Perlman. Linda and Ron have remained friends throughout the years. In November of 2004 she appeared on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' to discuss her bipolar disorder. Goonies The Cast of "Goonies"
This is one of my favorite movies and about six months ago I dusted off my copy and introduced it to my nephews. They loved it. Here are the people we will be looking at today. Sean Astin .... Michael 'Mikey' Walsh Josh Brolin .... Brandon 'Brand' Walsh Jeff Cohen .... Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen Corey Feldman .... Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux Kerri Green .... Andrea 'Andy' Carmichael Martha Plimpton .... Stefanie 'Stef' Steinbrenner Jonathan Ke Quan .... Richard 'Data' Wang John Matuszak .... Lotney 'Sloth' Fratelli Robert Davi .... Jake Fratelli Joe Pantoliano .... Francis Fratelli Anne Ramsey .... Mama Fratelli Sean Astin .... Michael 'Mikey' Walsh BORN: February, 25 1971, Santa Monica, California We all know where Sean is now. Playing a Hobbit in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. But here is just a little info/trivia on him. Sean is married to Christine Astin and they have a daughter Alexandra Louise (born in 1996) He is the on of actor John Astin and actress Patty Duke but his biological father is actually Michael Tell, whom Patty Duke was married to for only a month in 1970. Sean was adopted at age 3 by John Astin, but considers both men to be his father. ----- Josh Brolin .... Brandon 'Brand' Walsh BORN: February 12, 1968, Los Angeles, California Josh is still acting and seems to pop up in various movies and TV shows. Most recently he had a TV series called "Mister Sterling" in 2003. This was cancelled after just a few episodes. Two new projects this year are movies "Into the Blue" and "Melinda and Melinda". He is the son of actor James Brolin and is engaged to actress Diane Lane. He has two children, daughter Eden and son Trevor. ----- Jeff Cohen .... Lawrence 'Chunk' Cohen BORN: June 25, 1974, California Jeff was one of my favorites in Goonies. After the movie he did a few things on TV, but for the most part got away from being in front of the camera. Now he is an Entertainment Lawyer in Los Angeles. But he never seems to escape his Goonies past. He is always asked to do the "Truffle Shuffle". In fact, while he was a student at UC Berkley he would do the "Truffle Shuffle" during football games on the sidelines. ----- Corey Feldman .... Clark 'Mouth' Devereaux BORN: July 16, 1971, Chatsworth, California, We all have heard about his struggles with drugs. By all appearances he now seems to be clean. He is married to Susie Sprague and they are expecting their first child in September of this year. He's still active in the entertainment business with two movies coming out this year. "The Birthday" and "No Witness" TRIVIA: He is the son of songwriter/record producer Bob Feldman, who wrote and produced "My Boyfriend's Back", produced "Hang On Sloopy" and was a member of The Strangeloves who had a pop hit with "I Want Candy." ----- Kerri Green .... Andrea 'Andy' Carmichael BORN: January 14, 1967, Fort Lee, New Jersey Kerri has kept up acting, but really never made a big splash in the business as most people had predicted. Most of her recent roles have been bit parts on TV in popular series like "ER", "Law and Order". In 1996 along with Bonnie Dickenson she founded a production company called Independent Women Artists (IWA). In 1999 she wrote and directed the film "Bellyfruit" under IWA. TRIVIA: Kerri got the role in Goonies when she skipped summer camp to attend some movie auditions. You guessed it... she landed the role in Goonies. Of all the main cast members of Goonies, she is the only one that does not appear in the video for Cyndi Lauper's 'The Goonies R Good Enough'. ----- Martha Plimpton .... Stefanie 'Stef' Steinbrenner BORN: November 16, 1970, New York, New York Still very active in Hollywood, she has appeared in many films and TV shows. She lends her voice to an upcoming film called "Hair High", which is due out later this year. TRIVIA: She is the daughter of actors Keith Carradine and Shelley Plimpton; granddaughter of actor John Carradine. One thing that cracks me up and I can just visualize it is... On the commentary track for the DVD of Goonies, The (1985), she says that she was once playing the title role in Ibsen's Hedda Gabler on stage when an audience member yelled "Gooooonies!" from his seat. ----- Jonathan Ke Quan .... Richard 'Data' Wang (as Ke Huy Quan) BORN: August 20 1971, Saigon, Vietnam Birth name : Ke Huy-Quan Who can forget Data in Goonies. I just loved all his contraptions he invented. He has done some acting throughout the years with his role in Goonies and "Indiana Temple of Doom" by far being the highlights of his career. He did attend college and graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinema Television. Nowadays he is a martial artist and working as a stunt coordinator. He worked with Jet Li on "The One". TRIVIA: Speaks fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. ----- John Matuszak .... Lotney 'Sloth' Fratelli BORN: October 25, 1950, Oak Creek, Wisconsin DIED: June 17, 1989 John was a hard-driving athlete who lived life in the fast lane. He died of an accidental drug overdose. He was in various movies, but I have to believe that Goonies was his most famous. Even though you couldn't tell it was him, it certainly was a memorable character and the scenes between him and Chunk were the best. TRIVIA: Nickname: Tooz. He was a defensive end for the Los Angeles Raiders Competed in the 1978 World's Strongest Man Competition . ----- Robert Davi .... Jake Fratelli BORN: June 26, 1954 Robert is still acting and is often cast as the bad guy in movies and TV. TRIVIA: Originally trained as an opera-singer, until he damaged his voice. Robert's big break came when he was cast opposite Frank Sinatra in the film Contract on Cherry Street (1977) (TV) and has since gone on to work in projects with Marlon Brando, Roberto Begnini, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Clint Eastwood, Benicio Del Toro, Danny Glover, and Adam Sandler to name a few. Besides working and raising his five children, Robert Davi, stays busy volunteering his time with many charities such as, 'The Dream Foundation', 'Exceptional Children’s Foundation', 'Heart Of A Child Foundation', 'The National Italian American Foundation', 'Unico', and is the national spokesperson for 'I Save America'. ----- Joe Pantoliano .... Francis Fratelli BORN: September 12, 1951, Hoboken, New Jersey For me Joe will always be Guido the killer pimp from "Risky Business". As you are probably aware he is still acting and was Ralphie in "The Sopranos" and was in the Matrix movie. TRIVIA: Almost always seen wearing a cap, even in some of his movie roles. He is writing a novel about his hometown, Hoboken, New Jersey, entitled, "Who's Sorry Now?" ----- Anne Ramsey .... Mama Fratelli BORN: September 1, 1929, Omaha, Nebraska DEATH: August 11, 1988 (throat cancer) Probably Anne's most notable role was that of Momma from "Throw Momma From The Train". She was a very busy actress in the 80's right up until her death from throat cancer. TRIVIA: Following the death of their own mother ("Mom always liked you best!"), the Smothers Brothers chose Anne Ramsey to receive the flowers and honors on their Mothers' Day show. Died just three and a half months after receiving her Oscar nomination for "Throw Momma from the Train". Was married to Logan Ramsey, also an actor. |
- GEE, JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED! Superficial and totally forgettable updates on the depressingly defunct or declining careers and utterly boring lives of the really mediocre, marginal, moronic Tinsel Town twits whose best years were nothing to shout about and whose current situations range all the way from pedestrain to pathetic.
- WHO IS NEXT? Tiny Tim, Bobby Curtola, Jim Nabors, Batman and Robin, Eddie Albert's son? - MORE TO THE POINT, who gives a shit? - If all you can do is cut and paste your e-mail spam here, could you at least pick better crap than this to cut and paste? - This is a prime example of why I can't be bothered to post here much any more. I don't expect you to be as original, incisive and witty as some of us but you would do well to remember that "less is more" when it comes to stuff like this. |
