FRED SAVAGE
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/fred_savage.html

BIRTH DATE: July 9, 1976, Chicago, Illinois

BIRTH NAME: Fredrick Aaron Savage

CLAIM TO FAME: Well I think this is obvious, but just in case you are not familiar with Fred... he is best known for his role as Kevin Arnold, everyone's favorite teenager from 'The Wonder Years.'

INFO: Fred began acting at age four in the movie 'Dinosaur' and then at age nine won a role in the movie 'The Boy Who Could Fly.' At the age of twelve, he was cast the lead role in 'The Wonder Years.'

FAMILY LIFE: Wife Jennifer Stone (August 2004 - present) His brother is Ben Savage who also starred in an ABC show 'Boy Meets World.' Ironically Ben got this role as Fred lost his because 'The Wonder Years' was canceled.

ON THE ENDING OF WONDER YEARS: There have been many reports that the cast was unhappy with how the show ended. Fred has this to say, "We would have liked to continue one more year and see Kevin, Winnie and Paul graduate high school, a more natural end."

TRIVIA: He appeared in the music video and sang in the choir on the song "Voices That Care."

Took a year off from Stanford University to appear in the TV show "Working".

At twelve, he became the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Emmy as best leading performer.

Graduated from Stanford University in 1999 with a degree in English.

Directed an episode of "Boy Meets World", his brother Ben's show, in 1998.

Member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

He first met his wife, Jennifer Stone, where they were neighbors as children.

Fred was reunited with his fellow "The Wonder Years" cast member Jason Hervey, who played his older brother Wayne when they did a guest spot on the animated series "Justice League" in the episode "Hawk & Dove." They played bickering brothers who were also super-heroes. It was originally intended that Jason would voice the older, more aggressive brother (Hank Hall/Hawk) while Fred voiced the younger, more docile brother (Don Hall/Dove) as they had done on "The Wonder Years" (1988), but during the voice-recording session, they switched roles unexpectedly, so Fred voiced the older brother while Jason voiced the younger brother.

His scene as a confused bellboy in 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind' was left on the cutting room floor and he never appeared in the finished film.

Proposed to his wife with a 5-carat sapphire ring.

Jason Hervey (brother Wayne) bought him his first legal beer on his 21st birthday.

WHERE IS HE NOW: You can see Fred Thursday's on ABC in the new TV series 'Crumbs.' He co-stars with Jane Curtain and William Devane.

I have to admit I was surprised how many people did not know that Fred has appeared in quite a bit of things since 'The Wonder Years. ' Like in films 'Welcome to Mooseport' and 'Austin Powers: Goldmember.'

He did take some time off to attend and graduate college, so maybe that is where people lost touch with him.

What I didn't know is that Fred has directed a number of TV shows.

ARSENIO HALL
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/arsenio_hall.html

BIRTH DATE: February 12, 1955, Cleveland, Ohio

CLAIM TO FAME: Most people know Arsenio from his talk show, 'The Arsenio Hall Show', which ran from 1989 to 1994. His show was known for the audience's shouting "Whoop whoop whoop!".

FAMILY LIFE: Single used to date Paula Abdul Has a son.

INFO: The Arsenio Hall Show distinguished itself by targeting audiences that have been largely ignored by other late-night talk shows: African Americans, and Latinos, as well as the younger generation of television viewers which he identified on several occasions as the "MTV generation." Hall reached these audiences through a hip and casual approach to the show, strongly informed by his talent as a stand-up comedian as well as by tales of his childhood experiences in a Cleveland lower middle class community. In fact, Hall constantly invoked stories about being someone who left the ghetto for another type of life but who was still emotionally and politically connected to it. The strategy kept his television persona grounded at a level closer to audiences.

TRIVIA: Arsenio Hall (as a character named Chunky A) put out an album entitled "Large And In Charge." Paula Abdul, Wil Wheaton and Ice-T are among the guests that appear on the album.

He was a member of Ohio University's forensics (competitive speech) team. The team has also had Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson) and Leon Harris (morning anchor, CNN) as members.

He appeared in a TV commercial for Tab Cola in the mid-80s.

Replaced Joan Rivers as host of the late night talk show, "The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers" in 1987 after she was fired and the name of the show was changed to "The Late Show Starring Arsenio Hall"

As a teenager, he was an accomplished magician.

Graduated from Kent State University.

Was an M.C. at the Sheba Lounge in Chicago, late 70s, early 80s. Discovered by jazz singer Nancy Wilson (See a video clip of Nancy Wilson at: http://www.evtv1.com/index.asp-itemnum-676

Composed the theme song to his talk show.

WHERE IS HE NOW: Arsenio is busy working as a producer and director on 'The Other 23 Hours.' It's a behind-the-scenes look at the black stand-up comedy circuit.

He also has returned to doing Stand Up and has appeared at various venues.

If you are a fan of The Proud Family, then you probably heard Arsenio as he was the voice of Dr. Carver/Bobby Proud.

In the past few years he has appeared repeatedly on 'The Chappelle Show' and 'Best Damn Sport Show.'

LINDA BLAIR
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/linda_blair.html

BIRTH DATE: January 22, 1959, St. Louis, Missouri

CLAIM TO FAME: I think the role that will forever be associated with Linda Blair is that of Regan, the possessed child in, 'The Exorcist.' Which, for me, is the scariest movie ever made.

FAMILY LIFE: Linda has never been married but she has had several high-profile relationships. One with Rick Springfield back in the 80's.

She also dated Rick James and Rick's 1983 hit, "Cold Blooded," was supposedly about his and Linda's brief romance.

And then she dated actor Wings Hauser.

INFO: Linda started her career at the tender age of six, both as a model and in motion pictures. Out of 600 applicants she got picked for the role of Regan, the possessed child, in 'The Exorcist.' Linda seemed to be set to take the Academy Award for that role, but when it leaked how little of the possessed child she actually had been (dubbed voice by Mercedes McCambridge and liberal use of a dummy) that dream broke, and with that disappointment probably came the first blow to what should have been a sure road to stardom. Over the next few years she had no trouble finding leading roles in a number of pictures, mostly as some kind of abused child (13-year-old alcoholic, rape victim, to mention a few), but the early attention brought with it life in the fast lane and Linda, as quite a few others in recent years, hadn't had the time to learn how to handle it, and drugs, a stream of unsteady relationships and other factors almost brought her career to an end.

TRIVIA: Appeared in 75 commercials and hundreds of magazine catalogs by the time she was 12.

Received death threats after 'The Exorcist' premiered. Warner Brothers, the studio which released the film, hired the police to live with the Blair family for 6 months. The culprit was never caught.

Flew to Florida to attend funerals for members of the band Lynyrd Skynyrd, when an acquaintance convinced her to go with her and buy cocaine. Blair reportedly went because she was interested in buying pedigree puppies which the dealers were supposedly selling. Blair reportedly bought cocaine, and then returned to Connecticut. She kept in touch with the dealers, supposedly because she wanted the puppies, but the Drug Enforcement Agency was tapping the phones. They arrested Blair, along with 30+ others, and charged her with conspiracy to buy the cocaine in Florida and sell it in Connecticut. Police searched her purse, found amphetamines, and then charged her with possession. The possession charge was dropped, and the conspiracy charge was reduced. She received 3 years probation.

Is a vegan.

Owns her own clothing line called Linda Blair's Wild West Collection.

Did all of her own skating in Roller Boogie.

Has chickens and horses as pets in her home.

Linda has won numerous awards for her work as an animal rights activist from organizations such as P.E.T.A. and Linda also lends her name to helping stop animal abuse all over the world.

One of Linda's pet dogs was stolen from her and ever since she has become involved with stopping animal/pet theft.

She's written a book about veganism called "Going Vegan!".

Her frightening turn as Regan MacNeil in The Exorcist (1973) was ranked #9 on the American Film Institute's villains list of the 100 years of The Greatest Screen Heroes and Villains.

Won the Presidential Fitness Award during her early teens.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: Linda is still acting. The roles are just not as plentiful as they used to be. She recently completed the film, 'All Is Normal.'

Back in the 90's Linda won wide acclaim for her performance in the stage revival of 'Grease.'

Linda Blair has long been active in charities involving prevention of cruelty to animals such as PETA. She also started her own charity, The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation. Here is it's charter:

Benefiting Human and Animal Welfare, World Heart is the lifetime dream of Linda Blair to create a Community of which the goals are to improve the quality of life for people and animals alike.

The website for her foundation is: http://www.lindablairworldheart.com

She spends most of her time, when she's not acting, working and promoting this foundation. In 2005 she personally worked to save, rescue and reunite many of the animal victims of Hurricane Katrina.

After 'The Blair Witch Project' became a hit, a writer came up and presented to Linda the idea of creating, 'The Blair ***** Project." You can get more info on this by visiting: http://www.blair*****.com

ADAM ANT
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/adam_ant.html

BIRTH DATE: November 3, 1954, London, England

BIRTH NAME: Stuart Leslie Goddard

CLAIM TO FAME: Adam is best known as a singer. He led Adam and the Ants in the early 80s. Soon after, he began a solo career with hits like "Goody Two Shoes" His most recent solo album was 1995's Wonderful which spawned the top 40 US single by the same name. His biggest contribution to music was probably his pioneering use of videos in the early eighties.

FAMILY LIFE: Carol Mills (1975 - ????) Lorraine Goddard - divorced, (1997 - ????) with whom he has one child, daughter Lily

Adam dated a bunch of celebrities when he was living in California, here are a few: Jamie Lee Curtis, Amanda Donohoe, Vanity and Heather Graham.

INFO: The high point of Ant's career came in the period 1980-1983. Firstly with Adam and the Ants, he had several chart-topping hits, including "Stand and Deliver," "Dog Eat Dog," "Prince Charming," and "AntRap."

TRIVIA: His mom used to clean Paul McCartney's house.

His name allegedly comes from the 1960s BBC television series Adam Adamant Lives

He was the first ever MTV "guest VJ."

His first band was Bazooka Joe

WHERE IS HE NOW: In 2002 he had a few brushes with the law and he was charged with threatening members of the public with a firearm in a London pub and suspicion of criminal damage.

The court ordered that he undertake rehabilitation, although he was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder, the mental illness commonly known as "manic depression".

Since the 2002 incident, Adam has occasionally been featured in news stories surrounding potential projects and his medical condition. A television special entitled The Madness of Prince Charming was aired in the UK in 2003 documenting his career and his struggle with mental illness.

Currently he can be seen performing a series of concerts as part of the "Here and Now" tour along with other acts who were big in the eighties such as Howard Jones, Toyah and Belinda Carlisle.

In 2004 and 2005, Adam released six "remastered" compact discs, spanning the years 1979 through 1985. The CDs featured previously unavailable songs, including demos and material culled from the "Ant vault."

The new Ant DVD, entitled Digital Tenderness, has a pending release date of the first week of March, 2006.

The Unreleased Demo box set is still pending a final release date. However, it is likely to be released prior to Adam's biography, Stand and Deliver, which is set for a September 2006 release.

Unlike many rock-star memoirs which usually have a ghost writer, Adam will be the sole author... and word is he's a pretty good writer.

PAT BENATAR
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/pat_benatar.html

BIRTH DATE: January 10, 1953, Greenpoint, Brooklyn

BIRTH NAME: Patricia Andrzejewski

CLAIM TO FAME: Who doesn't love Pat? And I have to say two songs will always be synonymous with Pat... "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" and "Love is a Battlefield".

FAMILY LIFE: Neil Giraldo (February 1982 - present) Two daughters: Haley Egeana (1985) and Hana Juliana (1994).

Daughter, Haley Giraldo, was a Miss Golden Globe presenter at The 59th Annual Golden Globe Awards (2002) (TV) ceremony. Also in the Summer of 2005 Benatar's daughter, Haley Giraldo, starred in E!'s reality TV series, 'Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive.'

Dennis T. Benatar (1971 - 1979) (divorced)

INFO: Mainstream pop/rock made her one of the more popular female vocalists of the early '80s. Although she came on like an arena rocker with her power chords, tough sexuality, and powerful vocals, her music was straight pop/rock underneath all the bluster.

TRIVIA: Her video for "You Better Run" was the second music video to be aired by MTV on August 1, 1981.

Her song "I Need a Lover" was written by a then-unknown John Mellencamp.

August 11, 2002 was declared "Pat Benatar Day" in Babylon, New York. She was also presented with the key to Babylon by town supervisor Steve Bellone at the Babylon Town Hall.

Her ground-breaking music-video "Love is a Battlefield" (directed by Bob Giraldi & choreographed by 'Michael Peters' ) was the first ever music-video to integrate spoken dialogue into recorded music.

The character "Pat Bernardo" in Fast Times at Ridgemont High was inspired by Pat Benatar. During an early lunch-room scene, Jennifer Jason Leigh's character "Stacy" & Phoebe Cates' character, "Linda", have a discussion about Bernardo and the "Pat Benatar-look".

Has 6 platinum and 4 gold solo-albums

Was discovered during an amateur-night contest at the famed NYC comedy-club Catch-A-Rising-Star, and signed shortly-after to Chrysalis Records (1977) by founder 'Terry Ellis'

Sang opera before going into Rock music.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: Pat still writes and tours with her husband, and has also become a commercial spokeswoman for the Energizer company.

She and Nick are devoted parents and support their daughter as she tries to make it in Hollywood.

She was also seen recently on CMT in the series 'Crossroads' where she sang songs with Martina McBride.

http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/william_katt.html

BIRTH DATE: February 16, 1951, Los Angeles, California

CLAIM TO FAME: For me I first remember seeing William Katt in the movie Carrie. But he will probably be most known for his role on the TV show, 'The Greatest American Hero."

FAMILY LIFE: Deborah Kahne (1981 - present) 2 children (sons) Clayton Alexander & Emerson Hunter.

INFO: William Katt was born to act. The son of actor Bill Williams and actress Barbara Hale, William grew up watching his mother's performance as Della Street on the hit TV series Perry Mason. His parents met while filming the comedy 'A Likely Story' and William came along four years later.

TRIVIA: His mother appeared with him in Big Wednesday (1978).

Well known amongst the surfing community for his role as Barlow, in the film 'Big Wednesday' which was released on May 26, 1978.

Auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars (1977) opposite Kurt Russell, who auditioned for the role of Han Solo.

WHERE IS HE NOW: He still is acting and has two projects filming this year and one in post-production. None of them are big roles, but you can be certain he will be noticeable.

Over the past few years William has done extensive voice work for some cartoons and video games. Boy it seems many former stars are getting work doing a lot of this.

MAYIM Hoya BIALIK
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/mayim.html

BIRTH DATE: December 12, 1975, San Diego, California

CLAIM TO FAME: Probably 9 out of 10 people know Mayim for her role on the TV Show 'Blossom.' She played the title role of Blossom Russo.

FAMILY LIFE: Married to Michael Stone and they have one child (born October 2005).

INFO: Mayim got her first acting break when she was a young girl in the movie 'Beaches.' If you saw the movie you remember she played the young version of Bette Midler's character and she was a dead ringer for the part.

TRIVIA: Her first name means "water" in Hebrew.

Was accepted to both Harvard and Yale, but turned them down to attend UCLA.

Was good friends with the late Bill Bixby. As he went public with his illness, he directed her sitcom, "Blossom", and continued working up until his death in November 1993.

Plays piano, trumpet and bass guitar.

Adopted a whale, a wolf and a manatee.

Is an accomplished dancer. She and "Blossom" co-star, Jenna von Oÿ took lessons in between breaks in the filming season.

See a video clip from the TV Show Blossom: http://www.evtv1.com/index.asp-itemnum-1423

WHERE IS SHE NOW: For a while it seemed like Mayim just completely left show business. Truth is she threw herself into college and graduated from UCLA June 2000.

And even while she was in school, she was never totally away from showbiz work. She did a lot of voiceover work. You may have heard her in Hey Arnold! and some video games.

In 2001 she was the music director for the UCLA Jewish acapella group "Shir Bruin"

I can't confirm if she completed or is close to completing her doctorate in Neuroscience. Either way, she's one smart cookie!

On 11th October 2005 gave birth to a baby boy, her first child.

She has recently been seen in the Kirstie Alley series 'Fat Actress' which airs on Showtime.

Mayim also continues to do voiceover work for cartoons and video games.

JOHN DAVIDSON
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/john_davidson.html

BIRTH DATE: December 13, 1941, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

CLAIM TO FAME: This was very interesting. I asked a few people what is John Davidson famous for and I got different answers. Some said as the host of 'That's Incredible.' While another said he was a talk show host... then I got he was an actor and finally a couple people asked, isn't he a game show host. So this one is hard to pin down.

What exactly is John Davidson's claim to fame... he's multi-talented. And those dimples!

FAMILY LIFE: Rhonda Rivera (1983 - present) 1 daughter Jackie Miller (1969 - 1982) (divorced) 2 children

INFO: As mentioned above, John is multi-talented. He has appeared on Broadway, in movies, on TV and also famous for singing.

While an overly cute, lightweight image severely hampered his chances to be taken seriously as a dramatic actor, he made great strides as a full-fledged TV presence in the 70's. He earned his own daytime talk show "The John Davidson Show" (1969) and appeared in such mini-movie offerings as 'Coffee, Tea or Me?' with Karen Valentine.

He co-starred with Sally Field, in "The Girl with Something Extra" playing newlyweds, but the sitcom was unsuccessful.

Through the lean years John always seemed to appear in episodes of "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island."

TRIVIA: Music has always been John's first passion. In addition to recording 12 solo albums in both the pop and country music, he plays the guitar and banjo.

He was the scheduled headline act at the Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky, the night the structure burned down, killing 165 persons, on May 28, 1977. He was not injured and later participated in a charity concert to raise funds for the families of fire victims.

He allegedly memorized the entire New York phone book prior to appearing on 'That's Incredible.'

WHERE IS HE NOW: In April 2006, he will be in Branson, MO and continue to appear until June. I am planning a trip there and I think after doing this piece, I'll go to one of his shows. He really seems like he puts on a good show!

Recently he appeared with one of his children, Ashleigh, in a 2005 musical production of "Shenandoah."

http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/kim_richards.html

BIRTH DATE: September 19, 1964, Mineola, New York

CLAIM TO FAME: For me I only really remember Kim in one role and that is in the Disney Witch Mountain movies. But when I saw her list of credits I couldn't believe all the stuff she was in.

INFO: Kim also starred as Prudence Everett in the television series 'Nanny and the Professor.'

The connection there is her sister is Kathy Richards, who is now Kathy Hilton (Paris and Nicky's mom).

She is back in Los Angeles now and said to be returning to acting since her youngest child is in school full time.

And to this, she will be in the upcoming movie, 'Black Snake Moan' which is in post-production. There is no word on how this will be released (Cable or DVD).

KIM DARBY
http://www.celebritynooz.com/watn/kim_darby.html

BIRTH DATE: July 8, 1947, Los Angeles, California

BIRTH NAME: Deborah Zerby

CLAIM TO FAME: She is probably best remembered as the stubborn, spunky frontier girl who hired boozy marshal John Wayne to track down her father's killers in 'True Grit.'

FAMILY LIFE: Fulton, Rad (February 1970 - March 1970) (divorced) James Stacy (1968 - 1969) (divorced) 1 child

INFO: Kim had her pick of excellent roles, some specially written for her, as a young woman with extreme sensitivity and if not slightly quirky, certainly a person who differed from her peers.

TRIVIA: Parents were Jon and Inga Zerby, a dance team that toured nationally as the Dancing Zerbys, primarily playing hotels in Miami and Las Vegas.

Kim sang and danced professionally at an early age.

One of her most well known guest appearances is on 'Star Trek.' She was in season one and played a character named Miri.

Was voted the Quietest Girl in her high school.

Changed her name when she was a teenager. She did it by changing the spelling of Derby to Darby, and changing her given name of Deborah to Kim, because that was the name of the prettiest girl in her high school.

WHERE IS SHE NOW: In 1988, she began teaching classes limited to no more than sixteen students, at UCLA Extension, and shortly thereafter in her own school as well.

She is still teaching and continues to act. Most recently in the film 'Cold Ones.' Which is due out in mid to late 2006.

Her very small, very private and very popular acting classes are starting up again in July of '06.
