Nice, solid win tonight
Good all around effort. Schmidt pitched an excellent game and I was pretty impressed things didn't unravel after the balk and the walk to the pitcher. That was a shot to left he had, too. That was very important Schmidt pitched a complete game since tomorrow's game is at 1:35 and almost anyone used tonight wouldn't be able to go tomorrow. And by the same token, the relievers Milwuakee used won't be able to pitch tomorrow either probably.
As much as I hate to say this, I think Bell has earned himself another month with the team with the way he's been swinging the bat. Don't get me wrong, if he keeps it up I'll be glad he is here. But I think he'll find his old swing again soon.
