Gmaes will be televised on Comcast Sports Net Chicago(CSN),WGN-TV(Channel 9),and WCIU-TV(Channel 26).WFLD-TV(FOX-32) will carry 6 Saturday afternoon games this season,while ESPN will carry the April 10th and June 19th games as thier Sunday Night Game of the Week.

There will be no TV for the September 17th game at Minnesota because of MLB time blackout regulations.

All 162 games on the radio will be broadcast on ESPN Radio 1000 in Chicago.

Do you know if Comcast SportsNet Chicago is on MLB Extra Innings or MLB.TV? I sure as hell hope not. No offense, but I am not interested in hearing Hawk on TV unless I have to make fun of him.

Since Comcast is now on DirecTV,I believe that they will be seen on MLB Extra Innings.

I see the White Sox got lot of preseason games on CSN-Chicago. That's more than YES will carry for Yankees preseason games. Sounds like CSN-Chicago really want to feature the White Sox as their programming.

The 20 games this spring are the most that any team has ever put on TV.

CSN-Chicago carries the White Sox,Cubs,Bulls,and if the NHL ever comes back,the Blackhawks.It just came on out here last October,pretty much rendering Fox Sports Net Chicago so useless,that it was taken off my DirecTV.

Basically, White Sox fans will see their team everyday in spring training. This gives the fans a chance to see some of the young players. Twins got 5 games that will be aired on FSN North which is their highest ever in preseason games.

As for FSN, you have to worry about the future of the network. Teams are forming new networks and Comcast SportsNet is starting to take TV rights from FSN affiliates. It wouldn't suprise me if Comcast SportsNet forms a new network in Minnesota 7 years from now. FSN shows are always canceled after four months. I,Max, which FSN promoted at ad nauseaum during the baseball games, ended their show last week. FOX Sports News, which I enjoyed watching, was canceled many years ago. FSN has no good programming outside of Big 12 and Pac-10 sporting events.

FSN New York will eventually be dissolved. FSN NY used to have Nets, Devils, and Mets baseball. Nets are on YES and FSN NY will not have the Mets next year as the Mets will have a new network (Time Warner, my cable company, is a joint venture for that network with Comcast). Devils and Islanders are FSN NY's flagship stations after that.

FSN got problems.

Devils signed a agreement to air Devils games till 2020 on FSN NY. Why? I don't know. I think they are better off being on YES. I think the agreement was breached because the Devils were no longer owned by the Yankees as YankeeNets were broken up with Yankees and Nets owners not getting along. Devils were free to do what they want and the new owner, Jeff Vanderbeek wanted to get a secure TV deal than wait out.

With that breakup of YankeeNets,how does that afect the Nets' contract with YES?

Nets are still on YES. Bruce Ratner, Nets new owner, decided to stay with the YES Network as he gets his money from the network.

Damn it! Comcast SportsNet Chicago has deals with MLB Extra Innings and MLB.TV so I get the hear the idiotic Hawk. I guess the good thing about it is that I will make fun of him a lot as I always do.

I am considering doing a blog ripping Ken Harrelson BTW.

Thumbs up April 4,Opening Day- White Sox 1,Indians 0

Mark Buehrle was dominant this afternoon as the White Sox shut out the visiting Cleveland Indians 1-0 in front of a sun-drenched seel-out crowd of 38,141 at US Cellular Field.

Buehrle(1-0) pitched 8 innings of shutout ball for the win.He allowed only 2 hits,a walk and striking out 5 batters,while facing only 28 batters.Shingo Takatsu pitched a perfect 9th inning for his 1st save.

The lone run of the game came in the 7th inning when Paul konerko doubled to lead off the inning.He went to 3rd on a sac fly by Jermaine Dye,then scored when Aaron Rowand reached base on an error by Indians SS Jhonny Peralta.

Tribe pitcher Jake Westbrook(0-1) went the distance,but was tagged with the loss.Westbrook went 8 innings,allowing an earned run on 4 hits,walking 1 and striking out 3.

Paul Konerko had 2 of the 4 Sox hits in the game.Dye and AJ Pierzynski each had a hit for the Sox.

RANDOM STUFF; This was the first time since 1990 that the Sox have opened the season at home,and the first time ever at US Cellular Field.

Cleveland only had 1 runner reach scoring position the entire game.Coco Crisp singled in the 7th,then 1 out later,went to 2nd on a walk to Travis Hafner.Crisp was immediately erased on a double play,one of 2 the Sox turned today.

The Indians stranded only 1 man the entire game.

White Sox record; 1-0,tied for 1st place with Detroit

That game FLEW by. I was listening to it as I was driving to pick up a friend from O Hare. I get out of my car and Buerhle is perfect through 4 at around 3:10, and by the time we got out at 3:55, Shingo was already pitching!

I hate living in Alaska when I want to watch sports. Any other time I absolutely love it up here, but my teams are in Illinois and definately not local. Unless the Sox are on ESPN or WGN, I dont get to see them.

I think the AL Central will be a good contest this year. The Twins are still the Twins, but the other teams have made alot of improvements in the off-season. I am looking forward to a good year.
