As we wind down the long regular season there are really only two races worth watching this September.  Both are in the American League

The battle between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees has been epic.  Both have had ups and downs yet both are doing so well that the loser of the regular season race is almost assured to be in control of the Wild Card.  The Sox are in Tampa Bay before coming home for a bit with an exciting visit to Yankees Stadium near the end of the month.  The Yankees are on a road swing before returning home to host the Rays and Sox.  Both clubs end on the road.

The race between the Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Angels is a winner-advance scenario as neither are in the AL Wild Card standings.  The Angels are currently hosting the Yankees.  This series will culminate the season as LA hosts the Rangers.

Well, now it looks like the Rays are going to make a race for the Wild Card with the Sox.  I love baseball this time of year!

Yes, I was a little quick to rule those pesky Rays out.  Why is our division the only interesting one?  I 'guess' I like it.

The Red Sox sure know how to tank late in the year and make it a race.
