We've discussed the NL Rookie of the Year, so I thought I'd mention the AL race.
It seems, at this point, to be a three-person race between the Mariners' starting pitcher Michael Pineda, Rays' starting pitcher Jeremy Hellickson, and Angels' first baseman slugger Mark Trumbo.
Pineda is the front-runner, even as his ERA has spiked. But he still has pitched more innings than any rookie and has a lot of strike-outs.
