I am getting excited about baseball season. Even with the Cavs making their run, bring on Grady and the Tribe. I think the Indians have a chance to make some noise this year, but they will need good years from their starters and Hafner will have to return to close to his old form.

Jorge Julio was added to the 40 man roster. Apparently he beat out Tom Mastny and Scott Elarton for the final spot in the bullpen to start the season.

Also, Mastny, Josh Barfield, Aaron Laffey, and Jeremy Sowers were sent to AAA Buffalo.

is it possible to expose major league players to the rule 5 draft or are they automatically protected??? it seems to me i would much rather protect more of the youngsters than i would some of the guys on the major league roster. i would think dropping them off the 40-man just exposes them to waivers and then just about anyone could make a claim on them and just assume their contract, right???
