Tigers | Dingman to resume activities in a week
Mon, 26 Feb 2007 00:56:26 -0800

The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Tigers P Craig Dingman (shoulder) was due to return to Lakeland on Feb. 25 and should resume full activity in one week. Dingman left camp about one week ago because of numbness in his throwing arm. An examination in St. Louis discovered a small clot in his surgically repaired shoulder that probably occurred while sleeping.

Sun, 17 Dec 2006 16:14:36 -0800

Updating an earlier item, Tigers.MLB.com's Jason Beck reports a one-year, $2.5 million contract bringing free agent RP Jose Mesa (Colorado Rockies) to the Detroit Tigers was finalized Monday, Dec. 11, after Mesa passed his physical. The 40-year-old Mesa, a veteran of 18 Major League seasons, is expected to pitch in the sixth or seventh inning of games as a precursor to setup men RP Joel Zumaya and RP Fernando Rodney.

Transactions

I initially planned on charging 42 per transaction after 10 free transactions, but to be honest I quickly realized that it wouldnt be worth the effort and just allowed them all to be free. I didnt feel like spending the time calculating the money owed, then bugging the owners for it, etc. I think keeping them free allows the teams to stay as competitive as possible b/c some teams that start losing may give up entirely to prevent losing money rather than try to turn their team around.
